Kauai

Me and M.G. in Kauai
Kauai is ridiculous. This island is straight out of Lost and Jurassic Park. Anyone who is planning on going should immediately book a room at the Grand Hyatt. We spent every day exploring the salt water lagoons, the warm pools that twist around the tropical grounds & the grand entrance that looks right out to the ocean. We never wanted to leave the resort but if you do leave, book a cruise down the Na Pali Coast with Blue Dolphin (free food and drinks the entire time) and the crew makes stops for snorkeling under the mountains and to see the hundreds of dolphins that swarm the boat. And did I mention free Mai Tai drinks? M.G. boarded with sea turtles and I watched a monk seal come to the beach by our room to sun for the whole afternoon.

Hawaii with the kids

Me and M.G. met up with Dave & Chere and the kids in Oahu before we went on to Kauai. We had so much fun. Some of the highlights include: Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, M.G. as an Eskimo in the warmest weather and watching the kids get destroyed by the massive waves.
Also, it turned out that our hotel faced Chere's hotel and we could wave to each other. Our hotel was right on Waikiki Beach which is more impressive than the dull reviews it receives. After seeing so many secluded beaches it was refreshing to see numerous surfers, nightlife, and gorgeous sunsets all at once.

After 3 days here, it was on to Kauai.
